Greg Abbey is the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Steam Marketing, which was established in 2014.

He is a highly accomplished and ROI driven business leader with expertise in marketing strategy, execution and analytics in a digitally powered world. With industry experience spanning 20 years, the marketing of high growth, customer centric brands has been a predominant theme.

Greg’s track record of business growth and transformation includes the launch of new and relaunch of existing brands, spanning from ASX corporates to start ups in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. This has been fuelled by a purpose driven approach to drive brand alignment.

In recognition of commercial and creative results, Greg has won prestigious Effie, AMI, Midas, AB+F, ADMA, Cool Brands and Marketing Society awards. He was named in the AdNews 40 Under 40 and achieved the honour of leading the B&T Marketing Team of the Year.

Curious by nature, Greg always strives to push the boundaries of marketing best practice. Quite uniquely, he is equally astute with ideas (the art) and analytics (the science). He is often described as a friendly and personable, but at the same time action oriented and results driven.

As an active contributor to the industry, Greg regularly delivers marketing workshops and presentations. He is an AMI Certified Practicing Marketer, State Councillor and holds a QUT Bachelor of Business - Marketing, internationally accredited CIM Diploma of Digital Marketing and University of Virginia Specialisation in Design Thinking and Innovation.
